  • What is The Spring Bouldering League?

    • Team redpoint competition held every week for 4 weeks

      • Climbing section is open on Wednesday at 4:00pm to Sunday at 8:00pm

    • Scores are accumulated over the 4 weeks and totaled at the end to find a winner

    • Teams of 3-5 people climb together against other teams in a fun, challenging, and social competition

    • All skill levels welcome on any team

      • The entire team DOES NOT need to climb on the same night. It definitely makes it more fun to climb with your team but we aren’t trying to make this more complicated by having you organize up to 5 schedules!

  • When is it?

    • Week 1: April 17-21 Buttermilks Section

    • Week 2: April 24-28 Black Mtn. Section

    • Week 3: May 1-5 Joshua Tree Section

    • Week 4: May 8-12 Woodson Section

      • Team members can only submit their scores from their first time attempting the new set for the week

      • Team members must register before April 17th

  • Cost

    • $25 per team member (includes shirt)

    • $40 for non-members

 

Scoring Info

  • It’s a modified redpoint format, so attempt as many routes as you can in your category for maximum points - remember - it's not just about finishing the route, you get points for completion of zones too!

    • 500 Max Points - Tops are worth 100 points & Zones are worth 50 points.

    • You do not get points for Top and Zone on the same boulder (example: If you secure Top on a boulder your score is 100; not 150).

    • Each attempt is worth minus one (-1) from your score.

    • Flash attempts are bonus attempts. Your flash attempt does not count against your score. After your flash attempt, start marking your attempts.

    • Attempts only count for boulders that are completed with a Top or Zone.

    • The top 3 scores of each team at the end of the week will get added together for the team score.

  • Final Scores & Prizes

    • We'll announce winners at the Member Appreciation Party on Wednesday May 15th with a party to celebrate! 

    • Prizes will include (but not limited to)

      • Free month memberships

      • $50 credit to your account

      • $100 credit to your account
